A lighter alternative to a Qoves assessment
Qoves is a researched, human-reviewed facial assessment built on six photos. This is the opposite trade: one photo, results in seconds, free to measure, and far less depth. Which is right depends entirely on what you want examined.
What Qoves is
Qoves Studio sells a facial assessment. You upload around six photos including side angles; the service maps roughly 521 landmarks, runs more than 160 tests across symmetry, proportion, dimorphism and skin quality, and scores the result against published research. A human team reviews each analysis, so turnaround is measured in days rather than seconds. The membership includes a sequenced non-surgical protocol, before-and-after visualisations and messaging with a care team.
Pricing is not shown publicly; third-party listings in 2026 cite around US$150 a year. Treat that as a third-party figure and confirm it at their checkout.

Where Qoves is genuinely better
Depth, by a wide margin
160+ tests against 15. Skin quality, sexual dimorphism, and the profile measurements that need a side photo are all things this site explicitly does not score. If those are what you want examined, nothing here substitutes for them.
A human looks at it
Software applies the same rules to every face. A reviewer can notice that a particular measurement is being thrown off by the photo, or that a recommendation does not suit a particular face. That is worth paying for, and it is why their turnaround is days.
It is tied to the literature
Scoring against a large body of published studies is a real methodological difference. This site cites a handful of papers on the pages where they apply — including ones that undercut the measurements, like Farkas on the neoclassical canons — but that is a different scale of rigour.
Where this site is different
It is instant and free to measure. No queue, no upload, no waiting for a human. You get ten proportions and a face-shape classification in a few seconds, as many times as you like.
Your photo stays on your device. The 478-point model runs in your browser. Qoves has to receive your photos to review them; this does not, so there is no retention policy to evaluate.
It refuses to score what one photo cannot show. Nose projection, true gonial angle, forehead slope, skin texture and dynamic expression are listed as not scored. A six-photo service does not have that limitation — which is precisely the point of paying for one.
It is a one-time US$6.99, in two languages. No membership, no renewal, and the whole site exists in English and Traditional Chinese.
Who should pick which
Pick Qoves if you want depth, skin and profile analysis, research citations at scale, and a human opinion — and the annual fee is worth that to you.
Pick this if you want a fast, free, private read on your proportions with the arithmetic visible, and a cheap one-time report if you want the interpretation written out.
Running the free scan here first costs nothing and makes you a better-informed buyer either way.
Questions people ask
Is this as detailed as Qoves?
No, and it would be dishonest to suggest otherwise. Qoves maps 521 landmarks, runs over 160 tests including skin quality and side-profile measurements, and has a human team review each report against published research. This site measures 15 things from a single front photo in your browser. It is a different product at a different price, not a cheaper version of the same one.
What does Qoves cost?
Qoves does not publish pricing publicly — the figure appears at checkout. Third-party listings in 2026 cite roughly US$150 a year for the membership, which includes the analysis, a non-surgical protocol, visualisations and care-team messaging. Verify on their site before buying, since that number comes from third parties rather than from Qoves.
Why does this site only need one photo?
Because it only claims what one front photo can support. Six photos let Qoves measure projection, gonial angle and profile; one front photo cannot, so those are listed as not scored here rather than estimated. Fewer inputs, fewer claims.
Is a free face analysis worth anything?
It depends what you want from it. For "which of my proportions sit furthest from the common range, and what styling follows from that", a free browser scan answers it in seconds and shows its arithmetic. For a researched, human-reviewed assessment covering skin and profile, it does not — that is what a service like Qoves is for.
Can I use both?
That is a reasonable order of operations. Run the free scan here first: it costs nothing, tells you which measurements are actually off, and gives you the vocabulary. If you then want depth, skin analysis and a human opinion, you will know what you are paying to have examined.
Start with the free measurement
Ten proportions, a face-shape classification and the formula behind the score. No account, and the photo never leaves your device.
Front-facing, unobstructed, evenly lit photos work best. Your photo is analysed on your phone or computer and is never uploaded.
