How the score is calculated
No model is guessing at how you look. MediaPipe Face Landmarker places 478 points on your face in the browser. We level out head tilt using the line between your eyes, measure the ten values below, score each one from 0 to 100 against a common aesthetic reference, then weight them into a total.
Why we calibrate first
The mesh vertex at the top of the head is not your hairline, and the side points sit slightly outside your skin contour. Measured raw, the numbers do not match textbook values. So we run the same formulas over MediaPipe's own canonical face model to establish a baseline, then convert every measure onto the scale people recognise.

The total
50 + weighted score × 0.48, giving a range of 50–98. The compression is deliberate: a 2D photo cannot measure nose bridge height, skin or three-dimensional structure, so scoring anyone a 0 would be meaningless. Most people land between 70 and 88.
Questions people ask
Are face rating tests accurate?
This one measures how close your proportions sit to common aesthetic reference values. It is not a verdict on how you look. A 2D photo cannot capture depth, skin or bone structure, so we compress scores into 50–98 and publish every formula below. The same person shot at a different angle or in different light will move 3–5 points, which is normal.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The landmarks are computed by a MediaPipe model running inside your browser, on your phone or computer. Our server never receives the image and nothing is stored. Open your browser devtools and watch the network tab if you want to confirm it.
How do I take the most accurate photo?
Face the camera straight on, look into the lens, skip glasses and pull hair off your forehead, light yourself from the front and turn off beauty filters. For a selfie, hold your arm straight and keep the lens level with your eyes.
Does a low score mean I am unattractive?
No. Proportion is only one part of what reads as attractive. Expression, skin, hair, grooming and style are all outside this number, and the most well-liked faces are often not the most symmetrical. The point of this tool is to tell you which single thing is worth your effort.
Can I scan someone else's photo?
Please only scan yourself or someone who has agreed to it. Do not use photos of minors.
